"Docker Engine Stopped" on new installation of docker-desktop

Description

With a fresh install of docker-desktop for Ubuntu (4.25.2-129061), when launching docker-desktop for the first time, the UI simply shows the message 'Docker Engine Stopped'.

I already found a workaround to this. Simply run the following commands and retry:

grep "$USER" /etc/subuid >> /dev/null 2&>1 || (echo "$USER:100000:65536" | sudo tee -a /etc/subuid)
grep "$USER" /etc/subgid >> /dev/null 2&>1 || (echo "$USER:100000:65536" | sudo tee -a /etc/subgid)

With previous versions of Docker-Desktop, the user was prompted to run these commands at first startup. With the current version, this prompt does not appear.

Reproduce

Install docker-desktop for Linux, following this guide: https://docs.docker.com/desktop/install/ubuntu/ Try to launch docker-desktop

It will launch but will display the error 'Docker Engine Stopped'

Expected behavior

Docker-desktop should launch and docker-engine should start automatically
