Disable registration mail for public registrations

Description of problem

I saw someone on the forum saying he had enabled 'public registrations'. And he wanted to disable sending the registration email. So it seems there is no way to disable sending the registration e-mails.

Additional context

I can understand for 'verified registrations' this would not be optional, but I can think of cases (like 'public registrations') where this should be an option.

Description of solution

Perhaps an option could be built in for this under the registration settings. 'Send registration e-mail to new user' Like there is also an option for sending an e-mail to the administrator.
