Brand new to DNN and found this bug report after trying to get a an install of DNN 9.7.2 to work properly with an IIS reverse proxy. So writing this up incase someone else finds their way here. The front page and any sub pages or links for all users worked fine. As soon as I tried to login, the login process would redirect me to the home page with the URL of the localhost. Oddly, hitting the back button once on the browser would take me to the home page using the proxy URL and that WOULD be logged in properly. No amount of playing with the proxy rewrite rules or setting the login page redirect setting in DNN seemed to fix it. I suspect this issue is the cause. I then installed DNN 8.0.4 as a test and the reverse proxy performed correctly with the same rules set including the login.
