It seems we need to change ‘:role’ to ‘role’ on line 221 of epub2.py in the ebookmeta library. So I downloaded the source, modified ebookmeta, installed it, and compiled it with libro2's source, but it doesn't run properly due to a plugin path issue. If possible, it would be great if you could create a modified version.
