when the mouse is at right side of the screen close to the screen's edge the pop up window will be shown cut-off

You can use the mainwindow_xoffset and mainwindow_yoffset config values. They can be set to negative values, would that fix your issue?

Kind of... If I change my i3 bar position it requires modifying those values but it's better than nothing.
