using same storage for android masterpassword and android FF masterpassword

Open promeneur opened this issue 6 years ago • 4 comments

Hello happy new year

It would be a good thing to use same storage and not only same storage format between android masterpassword and android FF masterpasssword.

see https://github.com/ttyridal/masterpassword-firefox

Also, why not merge the two apps in one app ?

Also, this one app could be an automatic filling service for android like lockwise.

Thanks

Hi,

sadly I consider this App EOL. I don't have the time and the incentive (since I moved to a different password manager myself) to make development to this app anymore.

I don't think that there will be a merger with a firefox plugin that is maintained by a completely different person. I will however gladly accept pull requests and make releases to the play store. So if anyone is willing to implement the autofill API I will surely integrate that.

Hello

May I know what password manager you currently switched to?

And may I ask to just keep the app alive for newer android releases?

I mean no new features, just please maintain it so it won't get broken in newer android releases.

Thank you so much.

Best regards.

Hi,

Currently I'm using a self hosted instance of bitwarden.

I will try my best as with the last updates to keep the app at least alive and compatible. However if there is a breaking Android update and it would be a lot of work to make it work again I will potentially pull the trigger for good. But I don't think it will happen too soon.

Regards
