Selection broken when selecting **characters** and line range

As a new user of the bot, I could only work out how to select including characters unless I edit the URL manually. It would surprise me if that was what you were meant to do...

@TheKodeToad you can select a single line by clicking the line number. If you hold shift and click a second line number then it will select all the lines in between those two.

I didn't actually realise you could select characters as well when I made the bot, and as I've stated I unfortunately do not have the time nowadays to maintain this bot beyond the most basic upkeep, so contributions are highly appreciated if anyone happens to have the time :)
