Disable replacement of twitter.com to x.com in tweets

Open tesmite opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Currently on Twitter (some people would like to call it "X"), when you tweet (or post) that includes twitter.com, twitter.com will be replaced with x.com. The replacement is only notational and the actual access is to the original twitter.com. Is it possible to disable the replacement of x.com by bringing the actual link information?

Sorry for the confusing content and lack of explanation. This issue is not related to the current transition to x.com, but to a change that was made some time ago where tweets with links to twitter.com are replaced by x.com when displayed, as shown in the attached video. OldTwitter distinguishes the actual link as shown in the video, so I wanted to see if it is possible to implement a similar option to disable the replacement in the display as well.
