CleanLinks never activates unless added to the toolbar/status bar
I'm using Pentadactyl and my toolbar is usually hidden (I only see the tab bar and the status bar). Unless I show the toolbar or add CleanLinks to the status bar, it's never activated.
I very rarely need to interact with CleanLinks, so I'd rather not have a permanent icon for it for it to function correctly.
I don't know if it's related, but I have CleanLinks added to my menu (FF33), and it is not active when I restart FF. The icon on the menu is yellow, but it doesn't appear to do anything. I have to toggle it off and on again after each FF restart for it to start working properly.
Er, first of all sorry for the quite late reply :$
Please open the browser console (ctrl+shift+J) and check if there is any exception thrown. Whenever CleanLinks is activated shouldn't depend on the toolbar button, but rather on the state of the preference/option extensions.cleanlinks.enabled
Same problem here. Like GermainZ wrote. I have to click the menu (Hamburger) button once to see the CleanLinks icon; then it works. Console doesnt show an error. extensions.cleanlinks.enabled is always set to true I already tested with all other addons deactivated, but that didn't help. Im running Firefox 35.0.1 on Windows 7 64bit
Nothing in the console here either. Running Firefox 35.0.1 on Linux. CleanLinks simply doesn't do anything unless I add its icon to my status bar.
