how to crop sprites

Hello, please tell me how I can crop sprites. I found that sprites can be cropped using Tex3dc_Texture and Tex3dc_SubTexture. https://github.com/devkitPro/tex3ds/issues/16 But I have no idea how to work with these types and functions
