Application freezes when trying to load an *.mkv file

The pretty much says it all. The problem persists in my own application, as well as in the sample application included with this repo.

Edit: After a minute or so of waiting, the *.mkv file does eventually load. It works, althouh it's hardly perfect. I would like to request some improvements in that regard.

Additional info:

• The *.mkv file has subtitles embedded

Edit2: And it's working just fine now. I have no idea what I did, however, so I can't really replicate it. I suppose the issue can be closed.
