Feature request: Audio quality

I have been using Droidcam for a few months as the webcam and microphone for my PC and I am really enjoying it. I am slightly disappointed with the audio quality from the microphone. I recently tried the Droidcam OBS and found the audio quality is amazing. I am wondering if it is possible to improve the audio quality for the basic droidcam app?

Yes. Audio needs to be reimplemented with more modern codecs.

I was really disappointed with the audio quality in DroidCam :(
