The mysql_mcp_server doesn't include SSL internally, so there is no need for a flag to disable it. When required, users can tunnel SSL with a modular tool like PuTTY.
Maybe you were trying to connect to a port that expected SSL. The mysql_mcp_server doesn't include SSL support of any kind.
