alarm going off turns down computer volume

Every time the alarm goes off, it turns down my computer volume, and I have to manually turn it back up afterward. I don't want this feature at all, and there's no way to turn it off; if I did want it, I'd want to be able to set how it acts. (I might want a feature to turn the volume up, actually, or set the volume to a specific setting, and ideally it'd put the volume back where it was after the alarm was cleared.)

Adjusting the system volume is not possible using the provided Chrome extension API. In fact, the SoundManager (relavent code) does not change the audio volume at all. I suspect something else in your system is turning the volume down.
