Documentation for use outside of PD

Could we get some documentation for using this script outside of Plex Drive, i have a few uses for this but am having a hard time getting the script to actually upload anything, I've made tweaks to make sure its reading the correct paths and writing to existing and writable paths but it just sits there not doing anything even tho its got data in its local dir path.
