Matryoshka directories and resulting SD-card overflow after renaming object
According to my experience with v1.2.143 (F-Droid), renaming a directory object inside the slide-in-menu didn't rename an alias object but unexpectedly did something to the real object: it created a duplicate of the chosen directory inside the chosen directory (in my case the topmost directory, "Internal storage") and another copy inside the duplicate and so on, seven levels deep all in all.
In case that's the expected behaviour if someone tries something "as stupid as that", there should be a dialogue warning of the results, or - better - it should be entirely impossible to rename any object that would create such a matryoshka. As an excuse: my file manager apps all rename an alias sidebar object.
