I am having the same issue. Is there any solution to this ?

Are you talking about animated WebP files? Those don't work at the moment. If you are talking about regular GIFs they should work (and do for me).

yes, animated WebP does not work

I added support for animated WebP files to the master branch. This is not yet published on npm.

Hi @dbasedow ,

I tried the current master branch, and the animated WebP works well on both android and iOS, at least when playing my animated webp files. So could you publish the current version to npm? That would be very helpful!
