search stops working if I add a class to the <li> template

This is an amazing plugin! I absolutely love it. Thank you so much for all the work you must have put into it! It is almost perfect for my needs but i am running into an issue when I try to display my long list of items into 2 columns: I.e. when I add a class to the template
