Would it be possible to provide the option to view unified diffs in addition to side-by-side?

Isn't this currently supported? if there's a bug of parsing some diffs, it'll help if you can provide the case. Thanks!

The extension supports viewing patch files which are in the unified diff format, yes. But the view is changed to side-by-side from unified. The feature request is to enable coloured highlighting of the patch file, with no transformation. It's much clearer and easier to peruse when there's visual distinction (colour-coding) between the lines that have been added/removed/modified when viewing the patch file.
