Dask.org Webpage Update
Wanted to open up a conversation about updating dask.org. While it's mostly solid content-wise, I think sprucing it up visually may be helpful for the Dask brand, especially as we come closer to the Dask Distributed Summit in April 2021. As more users and enterprises begin to approach Dask as a solution, a polished look may add to Dask's appeal.
I'd love to hear the communities thoughts on this.
I'd be happy to spruce up the Dask brand. I think that it would be worth spending internal funds on.

Is “internal” funds here Coiled or Dask’s NumFOCUS account? :) I’m fine with either, but just making sure.

I would also be happy to help this effort. But agree that if there is NumFOCUS money available then getting a design firm involved may be a great use of it.
Sorry for the delayed response on this. I'm going to start drawing up a website map and content for a revamped website. A few things that would be really helpful:
- [ ] Determine where the funds are coming from
- [ ] Decide who will execute the front-end redesign
- [x] Create or reuse a folder to share redesign documentation
Do we have a Dask folder to collaborate in?

That was my thought, yes.
Determine where the funds are coming from
Dask NumFOCUS funds. If for some reason those aren't available Coiled is happy to backstop this (or donate money to NumFOCUS for Dask to use if that's cleaner (we also recently put in $25k, about half of which is available for Dask IIRC))
Decide who will execute the front-end redesign
Not it.
Create or reuse a folder to share redesign documentation
I recommend that we use the Dask GSuite shared drive. Jacob I see that you're not part of this. I'll e-mail NumFOCUS to get you added.
Sounds good... maybe we can chat with the NumFOCUS folks regarding budget in the next week or so.
I can handle researching potential web developers. GSuite would be great too. I'll keep my eye out for granted access.
To be clear, the people here determine how the Dask numfocus funds are used. And if for some reason there was a problem I'm happy to guarantee it will Coiled (assuming prices are reasonable).

Maybe I should have crafted my words better... I meant understand how billing and payment works through NumFOCUS. I'll drum up some estimates after we agree on site map and content.
