sometimes no scrollbar for central view

Describe the bug

For some, but not all, collections (I have tested both folders and film rolls), the scrollbar in central view does not show.

I have not yet been able to determine the differentiating factor between those it shows on and those it doesn't. However, I have seen it fail to show on one particular collection, then after closing and restarting darktable, show on that particular collection (screenshots below).

Steps to reproduce

1. In lighttable preferences, tick box for 'show scrollbars for central view'
2. Click various different collections and see it show for some, and not for others.
3. If it fails to show on a particular collection, close darktable, restart, and it may or may not now show on that particular collection.

Expected behavior

Show scrollbar for all collections

problem has been seen in folders containing raw, jpg, tiff, png not using lua

Cannot reproduce with 4.7.0+87-g6f2592c7f0 on Ubuntu 22.04. Tried with about 50 different collections at different zoom levels (size of thumbnails, number of thumbnails per row) and with different widths of left and right panel. Side note: I have been using exactly this setting for a very long time and have never experienced the issue described.
