daos-stack
DAOS-623 build: Remove unused files and rename build scripts.
Delete some files which appear stale and move some work into the ci/ directory.

LGTM but I will defer my +1 to somebody with better context of all what's being [re]moved.
The problem is you can't prove a negative, nobody I've found is using the removed files and they don't create issues in CI but no-one is prepared to say no-one else is using them.
