Scoop Package Manager
Maybe you could "integrate" it somehow in the Scoop package manager for Windows, for example.
In order to easily and quickly test the application, adding a Scoop manifest JSON file might be a good idea, then I could install it quickly with:
scoop install https://raw.githubusercontent.com/danpla/dpscreenocr/master/dpscreenocr.json
or something similar.
For now, that's enough and too much from me... Thanks!
Package managers are a general problem. I mostly use Linux, where there are a dozen different distribution-specific package managers. Even on Windows, there are other popular package managers besides Scoop, such as Chocolatey and winget. I simply don't have time, experience, or desire to personally maintain packages for all of these package managers. I believe this is a task for those who are interested and competent in it.
If you just want to quickly test the application, you can use the ZIP archive version - it doesn't require installation.
Ok. I'm going to make scoop manifest in the near future, and I'm even going to ask for it to be included in the "extras" bucket, as I think it's the best Tesseract GUI tool available.
