Feature request: ability to react to announced MSS

I use program on Windows. It always send TCP segments with maximum MSS possible which for default Ethernet MTU is 1460 bytes. For my tests it is desired behavior by it would be nice to also have the ability to send smaller packets the receiver willing to process.
