Widget/complication timelines fail to refresh after a number of days

From time to time the Apple Watch complication stops updating and shows the same information all the time. The data within the app is up to date. Submitted by Andre ([email protected])

This is related to a few other issues (now merged as duplicates), and all to do with widget/complication timeline reloading. In my changes for v2.2, I’ve found that using the new CLLocationUpdate.liveUpdates API greatly improves the speed and reliability of Widget/complication timeline generation. My suspicion is that in the current version (2.1), timelines fail to refresh because the CLLocationManagerDelegate fails to respond in a timely manner. Rebooting the device probably gives the timeline the best chance of getting generated, but after some time the generation begins to fail.

Version 2.2 should fix this for iOS 17, watchOS 10, and macOS 14 users. Users on older platforms may still encounter intermittent timeline refresh failures.
