No notifications without using my current location

Bug report: app did not give me any notifications unless I gave have it access to my location and set the notification setting to “current location”. Eg. I live in Seattle so just searching Seattle and setting it to that did not give me notifications. Just giving it location access did not solve the issue. I had to also set the location to “current location” in order for notifications to show up as scheduled.
