🐛 BUG: Streak maintain
What went wrong? 🤔
Hello Team,
Currently I had a 51 days streak which got broken. Thus I got a notification to restore your streak. But when I click on that particular notification it there is no action. Also after some time I received the same notification,then I clicked it but got same issue.
Expected Behavior
Whenever there is a notification to restore your streak your streak should get restored and multiple notification should not be send.
Steps to Reproduce Issue
1. Go to '...'
2. Click on '....'
3. Scroll down to '....'
4. See the error
Solution Proposed
After clicking the streak break notification, The streak must get restored. Also if it doesn't restored a message should be triggered in notification.

There's nothing in the notifications screen from what I can see to say when you received it. No date/time, etc...
I just got another one today, I had 2 of them the other week, and every time the restore still has not worked, I was sure I checked yesterday morning, but apparently I didn't, I check this morning, no notification, I refresh the page, there's a notification.
@sabdailydev Same happened with me today. I had 11 streak till Tuesday. On Wednesday I didn't used the daily.dev Today morning (Thursday) the got the notification and I clicked it. Nothing happens. There is no action on it. Can you please check for the same ?

@ray73864 We will be releasing a few changes to the notification info - the timestamp will be shown post that. But we are still a few weeks away from this release. Also what's your username? We will check the restore notifications.

It's been consistently happening for months now for me, I had one good use of it last year and then the notification has never worked for me since.
This issue is stale because it has been open for 30 days with no activity.
This issue was closed because it has been inactive for 14 days since being marked as stale.
Just lost my 32 day streak, notification is non-clickable, when I click on it, all it does is updates the URL and.... nothing.

@ray73864 The notification is valid only until the next day, post which you will not be able to restore. But could you share exactly what you are seeing?
The problem is that the page doesn't tell me there is a notification until it refreshes (when I next view it), and by that point, clicking it does nothing.
This is what I see:
It doesn't tell me when the notification was sent to me, so I have no idea if I just received it, or I received it hours (even a day ago).
I keep the site open 24/7 in my browser, I try to click on the tab at least once a day and read some stuff which interests me, so when I click on the tab, the page refreshes, and then the notification appears.
If it had a date/time it was received/sent, that would go a long way to telling me, because I was sure I read something yesterday morning (Western Australian time) -- Current time is 6.22am Friday 8th August, I was sure I read something around 3am Thursday 7th August.
But maybe that's the problem, no idea, because it doesn't tell me the date/time, I just don't know.
Even worse, when I do read something after the first notification, I get a second notification saying I can restore my streak, but that second notification doesn't work either.
@ray73864 We will check this, also accept your suggestion to add the timestamp.
@Neeraj-Kashyap We have released quite a few changes on notification settings (just saw your comment on the changelog post), just wanted to let you know that the "timestamp" change isn't there yet, but it is on the way. Thanks!
@Neeraj-Kashyap The timestamp has been added now. Hopefully this will help for now. Please report back if this issue recurs.

I just lost my streak (again...), I see the notification:
The only issue is, clicking on it does absolutely nothing at all.
Apparently I lost my streak 6hrs ago, so I would have thought I would be well within the timeframe to actually click on it?
I then clicked on something to read it, and then got the next notification about streak being broken:
That one too is also very much unclickable.
