Center Items for LTR layout direction

Hi,

I've implemented this component to display a list of images. It works very well but i have a problem when the app is in LTR layout f-direction (Arabic language). I tried to understand why it's not correct, but i don't understand why the child.left and child.right are different regarding direction.

Is someone can explain me why or give me a solution to have what i want ?
