Selective Hats

Open Mark-Phillipson opened this issue 2 months ago • 3 comments

Would it be possible to only show single hats per line in code examples.

For example if I want to read a code example or even a todo list that's in a code block I find it quite difficult to read unless I Toggle the hats off.

I very rarely want to select a single token From a code block, it's usually a line or the whole block, maybe it would be a good setting to have for each user to change if they want to?

There is no feature to do that today. When I look at the image above it strikes me that your hats are very large. That is of course easier for recognition, but it becomes more of a distraction.

This is how it looks for me:

Yes I think I made mine big because I kept getting the colors wrong. Maybe I'll have a go at adjusting them to be a little smaller. Would be cool if this was doable though. 😀

We definitely have users that have reduced the number of colors because they couldn't reliably distinguish that many. Tweaking the colors might be a good first step though.
