Ability to set per-machine settings, e.g., override the synced settings
My situation is that I need a different value of font_size because of display resolution differences between two computers. Right now, I have to go in and edit font_size in Preferences.sublime-settings, or, use kbd shortcuts to change the size. Perhaps a LocalOverrides folder in which I could set font_size differently on the problematic computer?
+1, or OS specific. Ex. just installed an "Input" codding font (http://input.fontbureau.com/). On OSX my settings are font_size: 14 and no antialias, on Windows I need to change settings to: size 10.5 and gray_antialias. Maybe ST bug...
:+1:
I have found that putting Preferences (<platform>).sublime-settings into Packages/Default works really fine, but Packages/Default is not synced, because plugin syncs Packages/User dir only.
It's confusing, that Sublime already stores different Default (<platform>).* settings inside Packages/User (e.g., .sublime-theme, .sublime-keymap), but it has no reaction to Default (<platform>).sublime-settings inside Packages/User.
So, I guess, there are 2 options:
- either ST will start to support platform-specific settings inside
Packages/User - or
Package Syncingwill start to support sync ofPackages/Defaultdir.
I guess second option is more probable to come.
Thanks
