Doesn't work with Ruby 2.2

Maybe we should use /usr/bin/ruby for all the scripts? The system ruby is more stable and boring.

We don't specifically have issues with Ruby 2.2.2

We are having other issues (that's why I'm here combing the issues) but we'll see.
