Save/dump ruby interpeter state?

Hi folks,

I see that you're "future directions" lists saving and dumping the interpeter state. I've recently become very interested in this and would love to know a rough idea of how you'd go about doing it.

If it's something I can wrap my head around, I'd love to contribute.
