netbsd 4 partial work confirmed with generic noacpi nosmp kernel

Tested with NetBSD 4.0.1 i386 + GENERIC.NOACPI NOSMP (2008) + X11 XFree86 4.5.0 (2005), 90MB RAM.

Work confirmed from preinstalled hdd raw image (FFSv2 partition).

Some services report error with segfault during boot time.

  1. Choose free slow download (file name netbsd4hdd.img.gz) .
  2. Decompress raw disk image by zcat: zcat /path/to/downloaded/netbsd4hdd.img.gz >netbsd4hdd.img
  3. Its inner size is near 512 MB. Md5sum f262db9300327876f192fd66e751ce27
  4. Boot hdd, login as root and run startx.
