Relevant environment info

Win10/mac all have this problem, use intelliJ 2024.3

Description

The computer auto into sleep mode when I go to lunch, when I come back, I shake the mouse then screen lights up, continue plugin becomes blank, (as we all know, if you do not do anything for more than 15 minutes, computer will go into sleep mode.)

content in webview blank under the Continue plugin title

Image

gui react is still running, no any error message in the core dev terminal and the Run Extension terminal

Image

btw, on MacOS, when I drag the intellij window from the laptop screen to the large monitor screen, continue plugin will also become blank.

It seems that the JCEF process is stopped? I also checked that the OSR setting is enabled by default.

I don't understand kotlin code, but I tried to search code and find the ContinueBrowser.kt file to create the webview ,so are there any related processes that will be stopped when the computer goes to sleep?

This has been going on for several Continue releases now and is impacting us much. Reproduced in Webstorm 2025.1.2.

Update

I encountered this situation again today, and then I checked the run log of IntelliJ ,these are the two most recently generated logs at the log file bottom:

2025-07-23 12:52:57,538 [7241337] WARN - #git4idea.branch.GitBranchIncomingOutgoingManager - Can't get outgoing info (git rev-list main failed)

2025-07-23 13:36:25,544 [9849343] INFO - #c.i.d.PerformanceWatcherImpl - UI was frozen for 1569215ms, details saved to C:\Users\hzheng057\Desktop\Code\continue\extensions\intellij\build\idea-sandbox\system\log\threadDumps-freeze-20250723-133619-IC-241.14494.240-1569sec

From this log, you can see that at 12:52 noon, I went to have lunch and did not perform any operations, and the computer automatically entered sleep mode At 13:36, I came back to my computer after lunch, woke it up, and saw that the Continue plugin in IntelliJ was blank. According to the log content, the UI was freezes, and it let check the log file threadDumps-freeze. However, I find the threadDumps-freeze log path mentioned in the log, which is an empty folder with no content.
