Shortcuts are not working in Linux

Open troggy opened this issue 8 years ago • 4 comments

I am not using Macbook, so I don't have Cmd key on the keyboard.

Expected Behavior

Pressing Win+K should reveal Tabio tab selector

Actual Behavior

Address bar in-browser search is being activated if the focus is on the address bar. Otherwise, nothing happens. Tabio doesn't appear

Specifications

  • Tabio Version: 2.0.1
  • Chrome Version: 57.0.2987.133 (64-bit)
  • OS Version: Ubuntu 16.06

Have you tried the control key?

Same problem on Windows. Some of the other shortcuts don't work either

I’ve got Chromium 73.0.3683.75-2 and solved this by reassigning the Ctrl+K combination in the keyboard shortcuts page to tabio. It’s already there, but only after re-assigning it Chromium actually opened the popup.

I guess it may have something to do with other extensions and/or different keyboard shortcuts on different platforms, operating systems and - in case of linux - desktop environments. I’ve changed the manifest.json and added a linux key to the suggested_key object with Ctrl+Shift+K as value. After installing it locally that shortcut worked out of the box.
