@JoeWHoward think you could have this merged so you can release v2.11.2 ? there seems to be a problem in the pipeline which i fixed in this PR too

@codetheweb between this PR and #1278 (which competes) we do need one of the two merged. It may be worth issuing a call for new maintainers again.
