make command produces error that 'mkimage' is missing

Upon 'PROJECT=Amlogic ARCH=arm TARGET_CPU=cortex-a9 DEVICE=M8 make' immediately an error is produced. It is thrown by 'scripts/checkdeps build' complaining that 'Your system lacks the following tools needed to build Amlogic' 'mkimage'. For now I have disabled this check in scripts/image. Building of the toolchain and compilation then starts. A second time, with the checkdeps in place again, mkimage is found. I assume this behaviour is caused by /projects/Amlogic/options, last line: EXTRA_DEPS="mkimage". That line is also found in WetekPlay but not in any of the other type of projects.
