HDMI Handshake

Open Justdigit opened this issue 10 years ago • 3 comments

On a 2014 Panasonic tv i have HDMI Handshake problems. Screen keeps black and sometimes it goes with a blue-ish washed out screen.

When i set the GUI on 720P or 1080i It will show the screen.

having HDMI issues on an LG tv also, everything was working good on 4.97.3 , seems a few people are also experiencing these issues

edit .. just to update, disabling auto refresh rate change on playback has fixed it for me.. not sure why.. but the box is booting normally. thanks again for all the hard work

I also have a similar problem I have a Vizio TV, with my mob running into a Yamaha RX-V677 receiver if I leave the settings set to 720p the video will show up automatically after restart or power on, if I switch to 1080p and restart or power the unit on in order to get a image I have to turn on my TV and Yamaha RX-V677 on before turning on the box or I get the black screen. I have a similar issue with when I place my receiver into standby it normally under 720p will transfer the audio to my TV and play fine but in 1080p I have the same issue. The only way to resolve this while staying in 1080p is to toggle the inputs on my receiver and after a random about of changing the input it will show up, alternately if I pull the HDMI cable from my box and reinsert it this also fixes the issue. I believe this is a EDID handshake issue also.

my screen goes to a blue-ish washed out screen frequently and after a while the colors are restored. Switching to another TV input and back to the media player (Beelink MX mini) resolve the actual issue.

I agree this should be some handshake issue..

Very annoying :(

PS: my other devices don't have this problem with the same TV
