Audio is noticeably high pitched and video is too fast, which leads to constant buffering. This seems to happen with any streams with audio encoded at 32000Hz.
Could this be this problem?
In the patch 0009-aml-Change-the-sample-rates-that-are-supported-by-AL.patch, 32000 is missing from the sample rates that are changed, i.e. it needs "case 32000:" appended after "case 22050:"
That case statement is for sample rates not supported by the output audio device. 32KHz is supported sample rate.
What device are you using? What OE version?
I am using OE 4.97.2 on m201 board.
I have built the code with the change I suggested and it fixes the problem. If 32000 is a supported rate then why aren't the lower rates mapped to 32000 instead of 44100?
I also have have an G02REF box running Corey's MX Linux where these 32K streams have a lot of noise in the sound but play at the correct speed. There is a similar patch there from Davilla where 32000 is mapped to 48000 so I am guessing 44100 will work without noise.
It seems your link is not available most of the time. I successfully opened it only 2 or 3 times after 10-20 tries. Now I cannot play it at all.
Here's another 32KHz one. They're usually dodgy streams which get removed after a while

Do you have switch refresh rate and adjust audioclock on ?
I tried various combinations, but refresh rate and audio clock settings have no effect on this issue. As I said, mapping 32000 to 44100 in the patch fixes the problem.
Bobones, can you please share the fix?
Bobones, disregard. figured it out.
