KB Articles post type slug isn't prefixed

Open jackmcconnell opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

The KB Articles post type doesn’t have a prefix so when my I noticed my 'Articles' page wasn't displaying any posts, I investigated and it appears that the KB Articles post type is just called ‘articles’ and so will hijack the page ‘articles’ as it’s archive page, even if you already have one. I changed the slug of my archive page and unregistered the ‘articles’ post type from KB Support to fix this but ideally, the slug of the KB Articles post type should be 'kb-articles' as opposed to just 'articles'.

@TeoAlex this will need a DB update to migrate the former articles to the new slug, else we'll loose them. So migrate and after delete it, so that it won't remain in the DB. Also, after the process is done a flush_rewrite_rules(false); will be needed.
