Original Audio track
⚬ PROBLEM:
40% of the Youtube videos I watch, now play an AI generated (German) audio track. I have to manually choose the original audio track. No chrome extension can fix this up to now
⚬ SOLUTION:
Add an option "play original audio track"
⚬ ALTERNATIVES:
Have to select it manually every time
⚬ RELEVANCE / SCOPE:
Very annoying
⚬ "SIDE EFFECTS":
None, except some work for the developpers of course :)
⚬ CONTEXT: // Thank you!

hi! and thanks @SirDagen
any example channels or videos?
Hello,
of course I will post some examples:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBWJTFAR4T4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sASwadHr11M https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thgWnGAhmzo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Los3J4SiKVU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXY8xtdGwXk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9F3EvJmg9mo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRUxSTPgyzg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLiQYiOVzFI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZYmpLHJ1GU
They all have different audio tracks to choose from and my browser always automatically chooses my mother tongue (German) and plays the AI generated (horrible) audio track.
Same here with Spanish language videos

It is a new "feature" of YouTube: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/13339776?sjid=161411012149859842-EU You will get automatically translated video titles in combination with AI created voice-over, which is complete rubbish.
thanks for caring everyone!
this feature to make can share some code and logic with our subtitles features. ( https://github.com/code-charity/youtube/issues/1647#issuecomment-1498080775 )
Great.
I want to add that on my mobile phone there is NO possibility to change the audio track. -- I do use Firefox and ublock origin on my phone (for obvious reasons) and not the youtube app.
Dont know why, but there is no option to change the audio track on mobile. On Desktop there is. 🤷♂️
There is a pretty simple solution that could be an inspiration for the implementation. https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/488877-youtube-default-audio-track/code
The only issue is that the DESIRED_AUDIO_TRACK string is also translated based on the UI language, so for me it can't be "original" but "původní". Then it seems to work fine :)

Remaining time plus total time duration working fine with that zip 👍
