KubeEdge Graduation Proposal
Since becoming a CNCF incubation-level in September 2020, the KubeEdge project has made significant progress in developing contributors and users. In the past few years, the project also helps the cloud native ecosystem to expand to more industries outside the data center , and has been widely used in various new fields such as Smart CDN, Smart Campus, Intelligent Transpiration, Vehicle, Aerospace, Smart logistics, Financial, Blockchain and other fields. On behalf of KubeEdge team, we believe that KubeEdge is ready for graduation.

KubeEdge is an excellent project that enables reliable, secure, and scalable edge computing with Kubernetes. Thanks to the outstanding work of KubeEdge members, the cloud-native ecosystem has reached more industrial sectors beyond the data center. I am so proud to work with you guys and look forward to seeing the KubeEdge project continue to grow and innovate after graduation. Cheers for the hard work all along the way!
Hello everyone, the KubeEdge graduation application has been underway for quite a while. Thank you for all your attention and support.
However, as I was recently elected to the TOC, I need to recuse myself from this application due to the TOC conflict of interest requirement. Thus, I'm handing over this work to @dingyin (as the primary contact) and @fisherxu (as backup) from the project maintainer's perspective.
Both @dingyin and @fisherxu are long-standing maintainers and currently Technical Steering Committee members of KubeEdge. I believe they will represent the community well.
Also keeping this PR open, as both @dingyin and @fisherxu have access to the source branch of the PR.

@dingyin Could you add Lin Sun as the TOC co-sponsor for this project in the DD? Lin and I met today and reviewed the DD. The following is some additional info needed: 1. TAG runtime review and comments section needs to be updated to provide the review comment/suggestions in the context of the CNCF landscape, 2. set up a meeting with TAG contributor strategy for a complete review of the project governance, 3. Provide contact info of 3 adopters for adopter interview (you can send this to me via Slack) . Thanks
