When enabled and in blocking mode, it interferes with (tabs & bookmarks) favicons getting loaded/updated.

First of all, apologies for the late response! Somehow I didn't get a notification for this...

To me this makes sense -- a favicon is simply a specific type of image. However I am thinking about this from a programmer's point of view. I take it you expect favicons to load even when blocking images?

yeah, no problem

That's exactly what I meant. It's easier to identify tabs by the picture. instead of reading titles.
