Cannot cut after select all when widget on content beignning

Provide detailed reproduction steps (if any)

  1. Go to https://ckeditor.com/docs/ckeditor4/latest/examples/image2.html.
  2. Move (drag/drop) image to content beginning.
  3. Press Cmd+A to select whole content.
  4. Press Cmd+X to cut selected content.

Expected result

Selected content is cut.

Actual result

Selected content remains in the editor. Selection collapses.

  • OS: macOS
  • CKEditor version: 4.13.0
  • Installed CKEditor plugins: clipboard

Brower: Chrome 78.0.3904.97 OS: Windows 10 CKEditor: 4.5.4 The same problem

Hello @ImDoode, The similar issue existed in earlier versions of CKEditor (till 4.6.1), but it was fixed in https://dev.ckeditor.com/ticket/11064. You should consider upgrading your CKEditor 4 version.

Blocked by #3705 as mentioned in https://github.com/ckeditor/ckeditor4/pull/3609#issuecomment-561229251 (causes cutting issue https://github.com/ckeditor/ckeditor4/pull/3609#pullrequestreview-326112191).

Blocking #3705 issue has been fixed.

It turned out there is one upstream issue still on the way to solve this (see https://github.com/ckeditor/ckeditor4/pull/3609#issuecomment-573446000). We will check if different approach could help here - https://github.com/ckeditor/ckeditor4/pull/3609#issuecomment-573553670.
