EComplexity Research - Problems with the codes.
Hello My partner and i, are students of the Asuncion Natinal University from Paraguay. We are doing a reserch abaut de product space of our country, and we are working in our code with matlab. We can´t reproduce the reluts of the CID Atlas. We ned te proximity matrix to complete our reserch. If you can help us, it would be great. We are trying to use te code of the ecomplexity. We use the stata and your codes but we have some prblems. We have problems with the data source of te Readme file.

We need to know the countries and the products what you use for calculations.

Hi Arturo, you can download an updated dataset from the following link https://www.dropbox.com/s/msy7roz62pwz87s/sitc4rev2_cpy_all.dta.zip?dl=0
In contains a variable called "inatlas" which identifies the countries we use in our calculations. When doing the calculations for countries the results do not change much when you include all products. If you want to restrict the number of products my suggestion is to remove those that compose a tiny share of world trade (eg. 0.5%).
The proximity matrix is not showed explicitly as a results. If you do the calculation of our variables for all years, stata will store in mata the proximity matrix of the last year used in the calculations. Visualizations of the proximity matrix (i.e the product space) are easier in the atlas.cid.harvard.edu website.

Thank you very much Sebastian I really appreciate your help We need to run the codes of ecomplexity in the Stata. How can i do for run the codes? We need a database for that? We going to try to replicate the results!!! thanks for all!!!
Hi There! Thanks so much for this command and code, it is really great.
I am getting an error "Not rectangular, might need to specify the time (t) dimension!". However, I have specified a time dimension in the code. There are no issues if I run the code within each year individually so I am not sure how the issue is arising. I have included a picture of the error output:
