Hi Vadim,

Most of the time I like the all-in-one diagram, because it shows everything there is. Switching back and forth between several diagrams can be a nuisance, if the information is much related.

On the other hand, there might be useful information that can't be packed into that same diagram. I wouldn't consider it a good idea to copy ideas straight from a non free product, however.

Is there specific information that you are missing in GCViewer? What do you mean by "separate dimensions" graph?

You are right, that most of the time all-in-one is great and my idea is not about removing it, but about having an additional views. If someone is interested in only young generation gc it would be more comfortable for him to look only to it. Currently i have a situation when young generation is quite small 100Mb and tenured generation is 6Gb, i would like to look through it separately, because is sooo small on all-in-one diagram.

But i raised this issue as a more general idea, maybe you will find it helpful, maybe not, it's up to you) Btw, all-in-one diagram is too colorful =)

The issue is not about copying, the issue is about idea, free or non-free is not important here.

Separate dimensions, is kinda metaphor about separate views for young, tenured generations or maybe minor, full gc.

Ok, I think, I got your point. Readability for your usecase could probably be increased, if the scale would adjust when other lines are switched off. I'll have to give this some thought. Concerning other diagrams as well.

I think, general ideas like yours would be better discussed in the mailing list https://github.com/chewiebug/GCViewer/wiki/Mailinglists. Then you might get more feedback. And concrete ideas coming out of it could be made into an issue. But thank you anyway for raising this point!
