Unwanted white gap between bar border and bar fill

Expected behavior

The white gap should not be there.

Current behavior

There is an unwanted white gap appearing between the bar border and the bar fill in bar charts. This behavior can also be reproduced on the official Chart.js documentation/demo site. Please see the attached screenshot for reference.
