Ability to control video compression bitrate

please give the ability for us to control the bitrate and canvas sizes (or at least ratios) for the LD & HD previews; quite often it's difficult to assess quality due to the bitrate being too low, needing for us to resort to opening up exr sequences In a third party player. With internet traffic getting better and better, plus local hosted versions, we can open up the bandwidth.
