Auto-Refreshed Slideshow doesn't refresh

I'm trying to make a dynamic slideshow where the pictures can change at any time (pictures can be added, deleted, or replaced), but for some reason, the Auto-Refreshed slideshow function does not actually refresh. For testing purposes, I put the refresh interval at 1 minute and tried changing the content of the OneDrive folder while the Auto-Refreshed slideshow was running. Once, deleting a picture worked and it didn't show up in the slideshow anymore, but adding it again and several other tries did not work and the slideshow was just stuck at showing the same pictures for several minutes.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
