Squirt overlay remains on page after dismissing Squirt UI

How to reproduce:

  • load squirt on any page
  • press Esc to hide the Squirt UI
  • page text is unable to be selected

Not only unable to select text, not even able to click on a link or anything until you reload the page.

Same issue here, on Chrome. f*ck overlays addon (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/fck-overlays/ppedokobpbdajgiejhnjfbdjlgobcpkp) fixes it without reload
